We provide meals for children who consume solid foods. A healthy, USDA-approved breakfast, lunch, and snacks are offered daily by the caregivers. Please inform us of any special dietary requirements your child may have. Children are encouraged to try different types of food. Eating and drinking are limited to the kitchen area. To avoid causing any distress to other children, please do not bring outside food for your child. If you wish to celebrate your child’s birthday with the group, kindly discuss your plans with the caregiver.
For infants, feeding will follow the schedule and guidelines given by parents. You are responsible for providing sufficient food and formula for your baby. Be sure to label all bottles and food containers with your child’s name.
We offer a wide selection of toys for your child to enjoy. Please refrain from bringing toys from home, as this may lead to jealousy or disagreements among the children. However, a special blanket or stuffed animal can be brought for nap time. These comfort items will be stored in cubbies or diaper bags until it's time to rest.
Toddler (18 months – 36 months)
Principles and practices of sharing are introduced at this stage. We ensure there are enough toys of each type so that if two toddlers want the same item, both can have a similar one. Since this age is characterized by exploration, we utilize distraction and redirection techniques to manage situations where a child cannot explore something. Logical consequences are applied when necessary; for example, if a child throws a toy at a friend, that toy may be temporarily removed.
Age Group: Pre-School (3 years - K)
Methods for taking turns and sharing are emphasized even further. Timers can be used to assist preschoolers in rotating with favorite toys. When conflicts arise, we use these moments to teach more effective ways to resolve disputes. Ignoring certain behaviors, such as using inappropriate language, may be employed. If a child continues to behave inappropriately, they may be placed in a “time-out” away from the play area, under the caregiver’s supervision. We do not use yelling, hitting, or any form of physical punishment in our daycare.
Age Group: School Age (K-12 years)
We address inappropriate behavior by firmly saying “no,” explaining why a particular action is unacceptable, and providing the child with a choice to behave appropriately. If this approach is ineffective, the child will be seated in a chair for “time-out” for approximately one minute for each year of their age. After “time-out,” the child will be asked if they understand why they were placed there and whether they are ready to play nicely again. In rare cases of serious disciplinary issues, we will request a meeting with the parent(s) to address the situation.
Registration will only be considered complete, and care will not begin, until all required paperwork is submitted. Before your child will be admitted, World of Little Wonders Inc. Must receive the following:
A one-month deposit is required upon registration and will be credited toward the final month of enrollment. Parents agree to provide a minimum of one (1) full month’s notice (given on the 1st of any month) if withdrawing their child from the daycare permanently.

It is the parents' responsibility to ensure children are picked up no later than 6:00 p.m. If you are unable to pick up your child by this time, alternative arrangements must be made.
If someone not listed on the registration form will be picking up your child, inform the daycare. We must receive verbal or written permission before releasing a child to anyone who is not authorized. If a parent cannot be reached and the child remains in care after 7:00 p.m., World of Little Wonders Inc. will contact an emergency contact.
